Job summary

Small Door Veterinary is seeking a Veterinary Technician Recruiter to partner with clinics across markets, building relationships with veterinary technicians and other roles. You will own the end-to-end hiring process, travel to priority markets, and help plan for new practice openings.

You’ll engage with veterinary schools and industry networks, maintain a healthy candidate pipeline, and ensure a warm, timely candidate experience across all stages.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience (3+ years preferred).
• Track record of recruiting veterinary/clinical talent is a plus.
• Strong sourcing skills (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, etc.).
• Solid understanding of medical terminology (animal or human).
• Relationship-driven, resourceful, and able to travel to markets.

Responsibilities

• Own the full hiring process from outreach to offer.
• Manage candidate communications and keep records up to date in the ATS.
• Travel to clinics and markets to meet candidates and build referral networks.
• Plan for new practice openings and forecast hiring needs with leaders.
• Engage veterinary schools and industry networks; host events and CE/conferences.
• Build pipeline 3–6 months before openings and maintain steady in-person meetings.
