Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Shift Lead to provide leadership on each shift and perform paraprofessional duties as needed. You will support Practice Manager and COS in maintaining effective communication with clients, associates, and leadership.

The role includes a mix of leadership (~20%) and paraprofessional duties (~80%), with focus on delivering high-quality veterinary care and exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of healthcare or veterinary-related experience required; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead paraprofessional staff and coordinate hospital operations across shifts.
• Perform CSC and/or veterinary assistant/technician duties as needed to ensure client/pet care.
• Educate clients about wellness plans, preventive care, and hospital services.
• Manage client flow, scheduling, invoicing, and inventory as part of daily operations.
