Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Shift Lead to provide leadership across shifts, coordinate paraprofessional staff, and support hospital leadership. The role emphasizes frontline client service, ensuring high-quality pet care, and maintaining efficient operations.

You will work with the Practice Manager and COS to ensure effective communication with clients, associates, Field Leadership, and Central Team Support while promoting our five principles and hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification preferred.
• Experience supervising paraprofessional staff preferred.
• Strong communication and client service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise paraprofessional staff across shifts to maintain hospital productivity.
• Recruit and guide staff, ensure effective communication with clients and leadership.
• Assist Practice Manager and COS to deliver quality veterinary care and service.
• Educate clients on wellness plans and preventive care; manage patient flow and documentation.
• Ensure hospital safety, cleanliness, and adherence to state practice acts.
