Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Shift Lead to provide leadership and support across all shifts, acting as a CSC and veterinary assistant/technician when needed. The role balances paraprofessional duties with leadership responsibilities to ensure smooth hospital operations and excellent client service.

You will work with Practice Manager and COS to maintain communication with clients, associates, and leadership, while promoting Optimum Wellness Plans and hospital services to maximize wellness

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Two years experience (healthcare, veterinary profession, service-type industry, etc.) required, with six months experience at Banfield preferred.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and support paraprofessional staff across all shifts, ensuring leadership onsite when needed.
Promote hospital services and manage client flow to maximize productivity and client care.
Assist with surgery as applicable and support veterinary team to ensure high-quality care.
Maintain proper medical charts, records, and compliance with safety protocols.
