Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Shift Lead to act as a CSC and/or veterinary assistant while providing leadership and coordination across shifts. The role supports Practice Manager and COS to ensure effective communication with clients, associates, and leadership, improving hospital productivity and client care.

The position blends leadership with paraprofessional duties, emphasizing client education, wellness plans, and efficient operations to maximize team performance and patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred.
• Two years experience (healthcare, veterinary profession, service-type industry) required, with Banfield preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of a CSC and/or veterinary assistant/technician.
• Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and manage client flow for productivity.
• Lead paraprofessional duties while supporting hospital leadership to maximize care and efficiency.
