Roanoke Animal Hospital is seeking a receptionist with veterinary experience to welcome clients and patients, triage concerns, and manage calls and emails. You will schedule appointments, check in/out clients, and process payments while offering empathetic support.

Opportunities exist to cross-train as a Veterinary Assistant and assist with patient care. The role emphasizes team collaboration, strong computer skills, and the ability to handle demanding situations with professionalism.

Qualifications

• 1 year of veterinary receptionist experience preferred.
• Compassionate, calm, team-oriented, and able to multitask with strong communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong computer skills.
• Self-starter with a desire to continue developing your knowledge and skillset.
• Willingness to cross-train as a Veterinary Assistant (VA) and support the team as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls and emails and direct them to the appropriate party for resolution.
• Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients, and process payments.
• Provide friendly, compassionate, and discreet emotional support to clients during times of need and discuss and navigate various medical outcomes.
• Cross-train as a Veterinary Assistant (VA) and assist with patient care and hospital needs.
