Job summary

Barkfield Animal Hospital in Cumming, GA, seeks an experienced Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative. You will be the first smile and voice for clients, handling front-desk duties and basic client communication. This full-time role offers growth across boarding, kennel, and patient care operations.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in veterinary or customer service settings, strong communication, and comfort with practice management software. Weekend availability is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of veterinary, medical, customer service, or reception experience.
• Previous veterinary reception or animal-hospital experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using phones, software, and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, high-quality customer service with compassion and enthusiasm.
• Greet clients and pets warmly to create a welcoming front-desk experience.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to client questions.
• Collect patient histories and document accurate information.
• Check patients in/out and relay needs to the veterinary team.
• Process invoices, payments, estimates, and financial transactions.
• Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming reception areas.
