BluePearl Pet Hospital in Malvern, PA is hiring an extraordinary Veterinary Receptionist.

At BluePearl Pet Hospital, our Veterinary Receptionists are vital to our hospital's success. You will be the first BluePearl Associate that clients see, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need. You must be able to function calmly and compassionately in emotionally challenging situations.

Pay:

$18.00 - $29.00/hour

This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through our Kahuna leveling system.

Schedule:

• 4 x 10-hour shifts
• Weekends are required
• Days and Mid-Evening hours available between 6:00am-8:00pm

We offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends, based on a 4-hour minimum. Examples include:

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will:

• Greet clients warmly and professionally as they enter the hospital.
• Maintain a friendly demeanor, strong eye contact, and approachability.
• Act as a compassionate listener.
• Communicate clearly and calmly in person and over the phone.
• Assess clients and pets upon arrival, determining the urgency of their needs.
• Respond to non-patient calls and visitors, directing them appropriately.
• Confirm appointments and provide clients with preparation instructions.
• Offer emotional support and resources to grieving clients discreetly and compassionately.
• Coordinate pet remains handling with care and accuracy.
