Douglassville Veterinary Hospital has an opportunity for an Experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our team!

Location: 105 Griffith Dr., Douglassville, PA 19518

Shift Details: This is a full-time position (30+ hours/week)

Pay Range: $16.00 - $20.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Summary: The Receptionist is the first and last contact that a client will have with the hospital and a key to creating first and lasting impressions. Must have exceptional client service and communication skills, computer literacy, ability to handle payments and financial issues, multi-tasking ability, a friendly attitude, and confidence in stressful situations. The Receptionist will support veterinarians, technicians, assistants, groomers, and kennel staff in daily patient and client care.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of MVP.
• Greet clients and pets by name with a smile and positive attitude.
• Answer phones promptly and professionally; handle inquiries about animal care, procedures, services, and products; provide advice on wellness and prevention.
• Screen and route calls; take and deliver messages; pull medical records for staff.
• Schedule appointments and surgeries; confirm appointments via calls.
• Document client conversations accurately in medical records.
• Enter charges, explain invoices, and process payments including cash, credit cards, and checks.
• Verify client account information and update records as needed.
• Fill prescriptions and provide routine administration instructions.
• Advise clients on preventative care and retail items.
