Job summary

Crain Veterinary Center in Grain Valley, Missouri is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to greet clients, schedule appointments, process payments, and manage patient records. You will handle phones, mail, and data entry while assisting with retail items and maintaining a clean waiting area. The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling payments.
• Answer phone calls which may include answering questions, scheduling appointments and recording messages for doctors and staff.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email.
• Update and file patient charts.
• Enter data into computerize[d] billing program.
• Retrieve prescriptions.
• Assist with pet supply purchases such as food, supplements, and grooming items.
• Maintain the cleanliness of waiting room.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods.
• Retail sales.
• Must be available to work Saturdays.
