Overview

Bensenville Animal Hospital has an opportunity for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team! We’re looking for a friendly, bright, and eager individual with veterinary experience to join our fun and supportive team. If you’re passionate about providing top-notch care to clients and their pets, love a fast-paced environment, and are ready to hit the ground running—we’d love to meet you!

At Bensenville Animal Hospital, teamwork is everything. Our clinic is collaborative, upbeat, and focused on creating a positive work culture. We have a Zen room to unwind, two hospital cats to keep us smiling, and a fully stocked kitchen.

Location:

1208 W Irving Park Rd, Bensenville, IL 60106

Clinic Hours:

Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm, Saturday 8am-2pm, closed Sundays

Shift Details:

Part-Time (under 30 hours/week), with 1-2 Saturdays per month required

Pay Range:

$16.00-$21.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Summary

The Receptionist is the first and last contact clients have with the hospital. They must have excellent client service and communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to handle payments and multitask. The role supports veterinarians, technicians, assistants, groomers, and kennel staff in daily care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and uphold MVP’s core values and mission
• Greet clients and pets with a smile and positive attitude
• Answer phones professionally, provide animal care advice, and route calls appropriately
• Schedule appointments and surgeries, confirm bookings
• Document client conversations accurately in medical records
• Enter charges, explain invoices, and process payments
• Verify client information and update records
• Fill prescriptions and provide routine instructions
• Advise clients on retail products and preventatives

• Veterinary experience required
