American Veterinary Group (AVG) is seeking a dynamic Practice Manager for West Boca Veterinary Center. You will lead the hospital team, partner with the Lead Veterinarian, and act as a liaison with corporate support functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and outstanding client service.

The role requires on-site presence, strong supervision experience, and a collaborative approach to manage finances, staff development, and client communications in a fast-paced veterinary setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Veterinary practice management preferred, but strong candidates from other service industries may be considered.
• Positive, can-do attitude with strong people skills and willingness to help the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital team and provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Oversee day-to-day hospital operations and liaise with corporate support functions (marketing, payroll, IT, recruiting, finance).
• Manage hospital P&L, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and inventory.

We are seeking a dynamic

We are seeking a dynamic Practice Manager to join our hospital team!

Department: General Practice Hospitals

Location: West Boca Veterinary Center

About the Position

In partnership with the Lead Veterinarian, the Practice Manager plays an integral role in leading the hospital team and providing excellent customer service to our patients. The practice manager is responsible for day-to-day hospital operations and serves as a liaison between the hospital team and our corporate support functions, including: marketing, payroll, IT, recruiting, finance, etc. This is a full-time position reporting to the Regional Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• People Management: recruiting, developing, disciplining, and terminating paraprofessional staff, including annual performance reviews
• Financial Management: overseeing the hospital’s P&L, including accounts payable/accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory
• Customer Service: resolving client issues and escalations and overseeing follow-up communications
• This position requires regular on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Due to the nature of veterinary hospital operations, in-person attendance is necessary to support patient care, respond to time-sensitive needs, collaborate with clinical teams, and maintain the safety and well-being of patients, clients, and staff. Skills Knowledge, & Expertise

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role
• Veterinary practice management experience preferred, although we will also consider strong candidates from other service industries (i.e. human healthcare, retail, restaurant, hospitality).
• A positive, can-do attitude; strong people skills/emotional intelligence; willingness to roll up your sleeves and chip in to help the team
