American Veterinary Group seeks a dynamic Veterinary Practice Manager for West Boca Veterinary Center to lead the hospital team and coordinate daily operations. This full-time role reports to the Regional Director of Operations and focuses on delivering exceptional client service and clinical support.

You will liaison with corporate support functions including marketing, payroll, IT, recruiting and finance while maintaining a strong on-site presence to support patient care and staff

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Veterinary practice management experience preferred or strong experience in other service industries.
• Positive, can-do attitude with strong people skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital team and ensure excellent client service.
• Oversee day-to-day hospital operations and collaborate with corporate support functions (marketing, payroll, IT, recruiting, finance).
• Manage hospital P&L, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and inventory.
• Ensure on-site presence as an essential function to support patient care and safety.

Description

We are seeking a dynamic Practice Manager to join our hospital team!

About the Position:

In partnership with the Lead Veterinarian, the Practice Manager plays an integral role in leading the hospital team and providing excellent customer service to our patients. The practice manager is responsible for day-to-day hospital operations and serves as a liaison between the hospital team and our corporate support functions, including: marketing, payroll, IT, recruiting, finance, etc. This is a full-time position reporting to the Regional Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• People Management: recruiting, developing, disciplining, and terminating paraprofessional staff, including annual performance reviews
• Financial Management: overseeing the hospital’s P&L, including accounts payable/accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory
• Customer Service: resolving client issues and escalations and overseeing follow-up communications
• This position requires regular on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Due to the nature of veterinary hospital operations, in-person attendance is necessary to support patient care, respond to time-sensitive needs, collaborate with clinical teams, and maintain the safety and well-being of patients, clients, and staff. Skills Knowledge, & Expertise

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role
• Veterinary practice management experience preferred, although we will also consider strong candidates from other service industries (i.e. human healthcare, retail, restaurant, hospitality).
• A positive, can-do attitude; strong people skills/emotional intelligence; willingness to roll up your sleeves and chip in to help the team
