Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a Nursing Trainer to lead on-site training across acute care teams. You will identify learning needs, mentor staff, and shape our emergency medicine education strategy.

Your work helps VEGies grow professionally while enhancing patient care across our hospitals. You will partner with leadership, develop content, and ensure all programs align with VEG’s culture, standards, and mission.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
AVMA-accredited degree in veterinary technology preferred.
Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state.
VTS in ECC, internal medicine, or anesthesia a plus.

Responsibilities

Partner with leadership to identify training needs.
Assess assistants and technicians through observation and immersion.
Drive advancement through VEG’s Cultivate program.
Implement VEG training programs as the go-to training lead at your hospital.
Split time between on-the-floor mentoring and strategic development.
Provide tailored, hands-on training for all learning styles.
Organize peer training opportunities and mentoring culture.
Collaborate with nursing managers to broaden impact.
Develop and refine training content (presentations, videos, simulations, assessments).
Ensure training aligns with VEG’s culture and emergency standards.
Continuously evaluate and improve leveling programs for staff.
