Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a Nursing Trainer to mentor and develop veterinary staff across hospital teams. You’ll design and deliver hands-on training, tailor content to each learning style, and collaborate with nursing leadership to drive growth.

You will travel regionally to support onboarding, lead training programs, and ensure all staff meet VEG’s emergency standards of care while fostering a culture of learning and mentorship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the practice state; VTS is a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of emergency medicine and education/teaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-floor mentoring and develop training sessions for hospital staff.
• Assess assistants and credentialed technicians through observation and hands-on sessions.
• Create and refine training content including presentations, videos, and simulations.
• Partner with leadership to identify learning needs and track progress.
• Travel to VEG hospitals regionally to support onboarding and education.
