Job summary

VEG is seeking a Nursing Trainer to develop and lead emergency medicine training across VEG hospitals. You’ll coach peers, build confidence, and mentor VEGgies to improve patient care. This role blends hands-on floor mentoring with strategic program development and requires adaptability to different learning styles.

You’ll work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced, multi-hospital environment, with opportunities for growth, leadership, and travel within the VEG network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the practice state; VTS in ECC/additional areas a plus.
• Strong knowledge of emergency medicine and ability to teach others.

Responsibilities

• Identify training needs with leadership and team.
• Assess assistants and technicians via observation and hands-on sessions.
• Lead VEG Cultivate program and training initiatives.
• Develop and deliver on-site training content and materials.
• Balance floor mentoring with strategic program development.
• Adapt training to diverse learning styles and provide feedback.
