Job summary

VEG seeks a Nursing Trainer to lead learning and development across our emergency hospitals. You will identify training needs, coach teams, and drive growth through VEG's Cultivate program. You’ll create content, deliver hands-on sessions, and mentor staff to raise clinical and operational excellence.

You’ll balance on-floor instruction with strategic curriculum development, ensuring alignment to VEG’s culture and care standards while supporting colleagues’ professional growth across the network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in AVMA-accredited veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the practice state; VTS in ECC/internals is a plus.
• High level knowledge of emergency medicine; teaching/training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to identify individual and team training needs.
• Assess assistants and credentialed technicians through observation and immersion.
• Drive advancement through VEG's Cultivate program.
• Implement VEG training programs and serve as the go-to training lead at your hospital.
• Split time between on-the-floor mentoring and strategic development.
• Provide tailored, hands-on training for all learning styles and skill levels.
