Job summary

Petco is seeking a Hospital Operations Manager to provide daily leadership to our hospital and partner with Hospital Veterinarians. You will work with the store team to deliver high-quality patient care, exceptional customer service, and drive revenue while controlling costs.

The role requires 2–3 years in a veterinary setting or strong leadership experience, excellent communication, and the ability to manage scheduling, training, and payroll considerations.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in a veterinary practice or 2+ years of strong leadership experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions, delegate tasks and drive results.
• Compassionate and professional demeanor under stress.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital paraprofessionals to drive operational excellence, efficiency, high standard patient care and excellent client experience.
• Coordinate scheduling for veterinary staff and partners; manage inventory, invoices, and accounts receivable.
• Oversee hiring, training, reviews, and coaching with HR; schedule two weeks out; enforce attendance policies.
• Collaborate with store teams to ensure a seamless complete care customer experience.
• Maintain OSHA standards and a clean hospital environment; support radiology safety.
