Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Director of Business Development for Veterinary. You own multi-location deals from first meeting to signed contract, closing large accounts across locations.

This is an individual contributor role with a $2M annual quota, remote with US/Canada teams, no direct reports, and strategic veterinary clients. You will lead discovery, proposals, negotiation and closing over 3–12 months.

Qualifications

• A record of closing $1M+ a year on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Selling into veterinary groups, or marketing and agency services to similar multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative cycles with several decision makers.
• If your background is high-volume, single-location or one-call transactional sales, this is a different job.

Responsibilities

• The full cycle on large deals: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close, over 3 to 12 months.
• Deals with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders all at the table.
• Expansion: more locations and more services once a group signs.
• Proposals built with our strategists and leadership for the deals that matter most.
