Job summary

AmeriVet in Eugene, OR seeks a friendly Client Service Representative to greet clients, answer phones, schedule appointments, admit and discharge patients, process payments, and safeguard client information. You will be the clinic’s first and last impression, remaining calm under pressure and communicating clearly with clients and staff.

Reporting to the Practice Manager, you’ll handle multi-line calls, appointment bookings, billing, and daily cash handling, while upholding compassionate care

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or educational equivalent.
• Knowledge of general office practices and receptionist duties.
• Ability to use a multi-line telephone system and handle cash.
• Attention to detail and speed in clerical tasks.
• Empathetic with clients and compassionate with animals.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and commitment to client service.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and work long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls promptly and professionally; greets clients and directs them as needed.
• Follows clinic guidelines for client communications across inquiries, scheduling, emergencies, and prescriptions.
• Schedules outpatient, surgical, and boarding appointments using a scheduling program.
• Accurately enters and retrieves records, fees, and maintains the database; performs backups.
• Manages discharge instructions, reminders, and prepares invoices. Schedules follow-ups.
• Processes payments and balances cash drawer; handles end-of-day procedures.
• Maintains front desk and client areas; restocks as needed.
• Represents the clinic with courtesy and professionalism and adheres to schedule.
