Job summary

Midtown Animal Hospital is seeking a Receptionist to join our established Sacramento practice. You will welcome clients, manage calls, schedule appointments, and help coordinate patient care with a focus on compassionate service.

We value a genuine love for animals, strong communication, and teamwork. Veterinary experience is required, and you should be available to work two Saturdays per month in our busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• A passion for providing excellent customer service and a genuine love for animals.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage stressful situations with good judgment and a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative, team-first mindset and the ability to work both independently and with direction.
• Veterinary experience is required.
• Available to work two Saturdays a month.

Responsibilities

• Be the Director of First Impressions: manage a multi-line phone system, greet clients with a positive attitude, and reflect compassionate care.
• Ensure Seamless Care Coordination: maintain accurate medical records, manage appointment schedules, and handle financial transactions.
• Advocate for Pet Health: educate clients on preventative care and hospital services for best care possible.
• Embody Compassion and Empathy: be a calming presence for clients, treat each pet like your own.
