Forever Vets Riverside in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to greet clients, answer questions, schedule appointments, process payments, and support our veterinary team.

You will check patients in and out, update patient charts, handle mail and emails, retrieve prescriptions, assist with pet product purchases, keep the waiting area tidy, and lift up to 50 pounds. All full-time team members are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including revenue sharing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or relevant education and work experience
• Customer Service experience is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Technology comfort with basic software/tools
• Team oriented and reliable
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Checking patients in, discharging patients, invoicing
• Provide customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling payments
• Answer phone calls which may include answering questions, scheduling appointments and recording messages for doctors and staff
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email
• Update and file patient charts
• Enter data into computerize billing program
• Retrieve prescriptions
• Assist with pet supply purchases such as food, supplements, and grooming items
• Maintain the cleanliness of waiting room
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods
