Job summary

Renton West Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Receptionist to be the first point of contact, converting calls into appointments and delivering friendly, professional service. You will help educate clients, schedule visits, and promote preventive care options in a fast-paced veterinary setting.

This onsite role requires strong phone etiquette, multitasking, and basic computer skills. You will support the veterinary team and help maintain a welcoming client experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• 1+ years of experience working with computers (typing, email, other software).
• Veterinary experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to learn new computer systems (PIMs, scheduling) and use them to streamline calls.

Responsibilities

• Fill the client schedule each day and convert calls to appointments.
• Greet clients and patients warmly, ensuring every client feels welcome.
• Maximize call conversion by handling calls and scheduling appointments.
• Promote Care Companion Plans and services during calls.
• Perform weekly reminder calls for due/overdue services.
• Handle cashier duties and reconcile cash drawer daily.
• Maintain accurate medical charts and documentation.
• Coordinate with the veterinary team to improve client experience.
