Job summary

Veterinary United in St. Clair Shores, MI is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to be the first contact for clients and their pets. You will warmly greet clients and pets, answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and help update patient records.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of customer service experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs. You should be comfortable around animals and enjoy a fast-paced front desk environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of prior customer service experience.
• Reception and/or office clerical experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working around animals.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet clients and pets upon arrival.
• Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and update medical charts.
• Process payments and handle client transactions.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, stocking, scanning, and uploading records.
• Support kennel and boarding staff with dog walking, feeding, and check-in/check-out.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
