Veterinary United's Lansing location seeks a Part Time Veterinary Receptionist to warmly greet clients and pets, answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage payments. The role supports daily office tasks and kennel/boarding staff while maintaining a welcoming reception area in a fast-paced animal hospital.

The ideal candidate brings 1+ year of customer service and reception experience, can lift up to 50 lbs, and is comfortable around animals. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of prior customer service experience.
• Reception experience highly preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working around animals, including those that may be anxious or aggressive.
• Must be available for full time employment and open to working Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet clients and pets upon arrival.
• Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and update medical charts.
• Process monetary transactions and handle client payments.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, stocking, scanning, and uploading records.
• Support kennel and boarding staff as needed with dog walking, feeding, and check-in/check-out.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area to ensure a welcoming space.
