Job summary

Veterinary United in Albion, MI is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients and their pets. You will warmly greet clients, answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and process payments while maintaining a clean reception area.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of customer service experience, with reception experience preferred. You’ll work around animals and lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of prior customer service experience.
• Reception experience highly preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working around animals, including those that may be anxious or aggressive.
• Physical requirements: stand, sit, move, bend, kneel, stretch in a high-energy environment.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet clients and pets upon arrival.
• Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and update medical charts.
• Process monetary transactions and handle client payments.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, stocking, scanning, and uploading records.
• Support kennel and boarding staff as needed with dog walking, feeding, and check-in/check-out.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area to ensure a welcoming space.
