National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing team. You will manage front-desk operations, coordinate patient care schedules, and provide exceptional customer support to pet owners in a busy practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of veterinary front desk experience preferred but not required.
• Outstanding verbal communication, conflict-resolution abilities, and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and remain calm around animal noises, unpleasant odors, waste, or potential bites/scratches.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Client Relations: Greet clients, check patients in/out, manage waiting area flow.
• Communications: Manage a multi-line phone system, monitor emails, triage emergencies.
• Scheduling: Coordinate appointment calendars for wellness exams, surgeries and urgent care.
• Financial Processing: Review cost estimates, process payments, balance daily cash drawer.
• Medical Records: Update digital patient files and input correct medical history data.
• Compassionate Support: Provide empathetic guidance to owners during high-stress situations.
