Job summary

IDEXX is actively seeking a Field Sales Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant (VDC) to build strong relationships with veterinary customers and grow IDEXX’s diagnostic portfolio in the Philadelphia South region.

You will engage customers through consultative selling, educate clinic staff on IDEXX products, and collaborate with regional teams to close capital equipment deals, while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of proven outside sales territory management.
• Experience in veterinary/animal health, human healthcare or medical device sales, dental device sales, and/or capital equipment sales.
• Willingness to travel and lift up to 60 pounds; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage your territory and customer base to increase recurring diagnostic revenue year over year and quarterly sales.
• Collaborate and co-sell with other IDEXX sales professionals in the region to close capital equipment and technology.
• Educate and train veterinary clinic staff about products, services and marketing initiatives; maintain up-to-date knowledge of IDEXX’s offerings.
• Communicate customer needs and competitive issues to IDEXX marketing and your business unit manager; assist lab operations to address service issues.
• Present IDEXX values to customers in a professional manner with understanding of industry, veterinary practice, and processes.
• Attend trade shows and other educational events in the region.
• Manage IDEXX expenses and resources in line with guidelines.
• Adhere to IDEXX purpose and guiding principles.
• Other duties as assigned.
