Job summary

The Veterinary Client Service Representative - Specialty Coordinator at Careerwebsite is a full-time, on-site role based in La Mesa, California. The position splits weekly hours: 20 in the Avian & Exotic Department and 20 in the Surgery Department, with a Wednesday-Saturday schedule.

You will support veterinarians, greet clients, manage phones, maintain medical records, admit/discharge patients, and assist with payments and back-office tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary clinical/hospital experience
• Veterinary Emergency or Specialty experience preferred
• Vet Assistant experience preferred
• Knowledge of exotic species preferred
• Ability to work one weekend day
• High school diploma or equivalent
• EzyVet Experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Greet clients and their pets with prompt professionalism and courtesy
• Answer multi-phone line, providing friendly, information client service over the phone
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on medications and additional treatments.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Admit incoming patients, discharge outgoing patients
• Enter/Update Client information into the Practice Management System
• Accurately process payments .
• Maintain all aspects of workplace organization and cleanliness
• Fax/E-mail information to clients and primary veterinarian medical staff
• Facilitate obtaining medical records from primary veterinarians
• Obtain client signatures on corresponding legal forms
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management team
