Job summary

The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine seeks a Veterinary Customer Services Representative to help organize the daily workflow of the Veterinary Medical Center's Operations and serve as the point person for cases seen. You will interact with clients and referring veterinarians, and provide support to clinicians, staff, and students.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant medical/veterinary office experience with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
• High school graduate or equivalent per CCS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments after obtaining all pertinent data and coordinates necessary services.
• Assists clients referred from other institutions to coordinate services and travel details.
• Provides receptionist level advice concerning animal care and hospital services per VMC policies.
• Directs questions and transfers to veterinarians or staff as appropriate.
• Schedules follow-up visits and handles department e-mail and patient discharge summaries.
