Job summary

The role requires empathy, clear communication, accuracy with medical records systems (ezyVet/Smartflow), and comfort multitasking across reception, scheduling, and client education. Shifts include 2nd and 1st with weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Outstanding client service skills.
• Solid working knowledge of veterinary hospital practice and terminology.
• Ability to think logically, problem-solve effectively, and anticipate needs of clients, doctors, and co-workers.
• Able to follow multiple concurrent instructions.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong ability to multitask with attention to detail.
• Solid knowledge of dog and cat breeds, behavior, and basic husbandry.

Responsibilities

• Responds professionally to clients’ requests for assistance across a wide range of areas including emergency arrivals, appointments, messages to doctors and staff, and coordinating communications.
• Greets clients and patients upon arrival and checks in for scheduled services.
• Confirms visit reason and updates client/patient information and RDVM details.
• Concludes visits with checkout, schedules follow-ups, and processes payments.
• Maintains a client-centered approach to ensure a positive experience.
• Keeps clients informed with accurate information and compassionate service.
• Remains calm and professional with challenging situations and patient interactions.
• Acquires and maintains knowledge of hospital services, medications, and policies.
