Qualifications

• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassion and sensitivity when assisting clients with sick or injured pets.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working with computers, telephone systems, and electronic records.
• Veterinary or medical customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Availability to work assigned days, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and assist with check-in and checkout
• Answer and route incoming telephone calls
• Gather accurate client and patient information
• Schedule appointments and coordinate communication with clinical departments
• Process payments and explain estimates, deposits, and hospital policies
• Obtain medical records and communicate with referring veterinary practices
• Provide compassionate support to clients experiencing stressful or emotional situations
• Maintain accurate electronic records and protect client confidentiality
• Help keep reception and client areas organized and professional
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, assistants, and other support staff
