Job summary

AmeriVet is seeking a friendly, organized Client Service Representative (CSR) for a fast-paced veterinary hospital. You will be the first and last contact for clients, handling front-desk duties, appointment scheduling, payments, and client education.

The role requires excellent communication, multitasking, and empathy with pets and owners. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required; comprehensive benefits are included for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous customer service experience required; veterinary or medical office experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Basic computer proficiency; experience with veterinary software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
• Manage incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and triage client inquiries appropriately
• Check clients in and out, ensuring accuracy of patient information and services rendered
• Process payments, provide estimates, and discuss financial policies with confidence and clarity
• Maintain accurate medical records and client communications in the practice management system
• Coordinate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow
• Educate clients on hospital services, wellness plans, and preventative care recommendations
• Handle difficult or emotional situations with empathy and professionalism
• Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
