Job summary

Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center in Waukesha is seeking a Veterinary Assistant (Emergency) to join a 24/7, VECCS Level I certified facility. This full-time role offers a first shift, four 9- or 10-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend and some holidays included.

You will support veterinarians and credentialed technicians, providing essential patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment dedicated to learning and growth.

Qualifications

• Must have worked or volunteered with dogs and cats at a clinic, Humane Society, Kennel, or similar.
• Ability to stand for long periods and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; positive patient-care mindset.
• Commitment to developing long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Restraining of patients
• Cleaning Kennels, Floors, etc.

• Multi-tasking and attention to detail skills are required. Must have the ability to stand for the majority of the work period and enough stamina to work past the regularly scheduled shifts, if needed.
