NSU Health seeks a compassionate Veterans Patient Access Coordinator to guide veteran patients through scheduling, registration, and financial steps. You will verify insurance, manage referrals, and help maintain accurate EMR records while delivering respectful, patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2 years in customer service, patient access, medical office, or administrative operations.
• OR
• Associate degree with 1 year of related experience.
• Healthcare/EMR experience is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist veteran patients through their healthcare journey.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate provider calendars.
• Verify insurance eligibility and process referrals and authorizations.
• Register patients and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Collect payments and explain financial responsibilities with professionalism.
• Support efficient clinic operations and patient flow.
• Answer questions and resolve concerns with outstanding customer service.
• Collaborate with faculty, providers, students, residents, and administrative teams to ensure patient care.
