Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking an entry-level Patient Access Coordinator to support Revenue Cycle workflows, including front-end support, scheduling, pre-registration and referrals. You will collect patient demographics and financial information, verify insurance, and help patients understand estimates and payment options.

In this role you will learn Epic Cadence, Vyne/Trace, Microsoft Teams and AWS tools while collaborating across departments to ensure smooth appointments and accurate billing.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance, managed care, private physician's office practice or hospital registration setting.
• Revenue Cycle, Patient Access or Pre-Services experience.
• Knowledge of Epic Cadence, Vyne/Trace, Microsoft Teams, Amazon Connect/AWS.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify patient demographic, financial and clinical information.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments to optimize resource use.
• Generate patient estimates and collect amounts due prior to service date.
• Assist with pre-registration, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed.
• Support inbound/outbound calls and portal messages using Epic and related tools.
