Job summary

The Salvation Army in Pittsburg, Kansas seeks a Case Manager for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. You will deliver case management and supportive services to Veteran households, including rapid resolution, rapid rehousing, and homelessness prevention, while coordinating with VA, CoC, and community partners to ensure housing stability.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required; social work preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in case management or related field.
• Experience with motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and trauma‑informed approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management and supportive services to Veteran households in the SSVF program.
• Assist with staff training and on-boarding of new staff.
• Lead outreach, engagement, and community networking for Veteran families.
• Develop housing stability plans and coordinate with VA, CoC, and other partners.
• Maintain HMIS data and documentation in accordance with policy.
• Coordinate services to secure rapid resolution, rehousing, and homelessness prevention for participants.
