Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Veteran Engagement Case Manager to support housing stability for veterans under the SSVF program. You will conduct outreach, screen for barriers, and develop individualized service plans with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities include landlord outreach, housing searches, tenant education, and coordinating move-in assistance. You will also provide direct case management and collaborate with vocational and relocation staff to move

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field or 3 years homeless services experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
• Valid California Class C Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to designated SPA areas and collaborate with other homeless providers.
• Screen for housing barriers and eligibility (VI-SPDAT).
• Conduct intake and needs assessments; develop individualized service plans.
• Build relationships with landlords and manage housing searches for participants.
• Provide tenant education and guidance on rights and responsibilities; coordinate move-in assistance.
• Deliver case management services, referrals, and progress tracking; maintain HMIS records.
