Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory in Pittsburg, Kansas, seeks a Case Manager for the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. This role provides case management and supportive services to Veteran households, delivering rapid resolution, rapid rehousing and homelessness prevention to eligible Veterans.

You will coordinate with VA, CoC and community partners, conduct outreach and intake, assist with staff training, and maintain thorough documentation in HMIS.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required; social work preferred
• 2–5 years of relevant experience; Motivational Interviewing, solution-focused interventions, and mediation experience
• Proficiency with technology and documentation tools

Responsibilities

• Provide case management and housing stability services to Veteran households
• Coordinate with VA, CoC and community partners to meet needs
• Travel up to 75% of the time and complete field work
• Assist with staff training and outreach activities
