Job summary

CLF Consultants LLC (DBA: CLFC Healthcare and Communications) is hiring entry-level Medical Support Assistants to support the Hampton VA Healthcare System through appointment scheduling, patient communications, community care coordination, and records management at VA facilities across the Hampton Roads region.

The role offers federal onboarding, training on VA systems (VistA, CPRS, HSRM, PPMS) and ongoing coaching to ensure scheduling accuracy and timeliness in a long-term federal contract

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check (NACI)
• High School education or GED equivalent
• Type at least 50 WPM
• Minimum 6 months customer service experience
• Basic medical terminology knowledge
• Ability to pass federal cybersecurity attestation and work with VA systems

Responsibilities

• Schedule veteran appointments for primary care, specialty clinics, and community care services
• Conduct pre- and post-appointment confirmations with veterans and families
• Document patient interactions in CPRS and VistA
• Route referrals through HSRM and PPMS and track status
• Integrate external clinical records into CPRS and maintain accurate veteran data
• Provide professional customer service over phone and secure channels
• Use Microsoft Office tools for documentation and coordination
• Complete annual federal security and records management training
• Maintain scheduling logs and contribute to performance reporting
• Meet contract quality standards and attendance targets
