Job summary

CLFC Consultants LLC (DBA: CLF Consultants LLC) is hiring entry-level, on-site Medical Support Assistants to support the Hampton VA Healthcare System across VA facilities and clinics in the Hampton Roads region. The role focuses on appointment scheduling, patient communications, community care coordination, and records management for veterans and their families.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required for contract.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Basic computer skills and reliable typing (≥50 WPM).
• Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.
• Ability to pass a federal background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule veteran appointments for primary care, specialty clinics, and community care.
• Confirm pre/post-appointment details and verify demographics accurately.
• Document encounters in CPRS and VistA with required accuracy.
• Route referrals through HSRM/PPMS and track status to completion.
• Integrate external records into CPRS and maintain VA system data.
• Provide professional customer service over phone and secure channels.
• Use Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams for documentation and coordination.
• Complete required cybersecurity and HIPAA training.
