Job summary

ACCESS is seeking a Veteran Services Program Support Specialist II to provide administrative support to program staff in Medford, MA. The role involves data entry, file review, eligibility screening, and coordinating with staff to ensure timely service delivery.

You will report to the Veteran Services Program Supervisor and collaborate with multiple departments to maintain files, assist with program operations, and respond to inquiries from participants and stakeholders.

  • Strong interpersonal, written communication, and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrated record keeping and organizational skills with admin duties.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

  • Assemble and maintain files, reference materials and create documents for staff as instructed by Veteran Services Program Supervisor, Program Manager, and Department Director.
  • Perform documentation review for data entry; communicate with program staff regarding errors.
  • Provide backup to Intake Specialist – including interviewing, screening, and determining participant eligibility for Federal and State Assistance programs.
  • Coordinate with other Departments and/or Agencies to provide referrals for programs/services in the community to ensure maximum service to participants.
  • Answer and return phone calls from the Vet Line in a timely manner.
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned by the Veteran Services Program Leadership.

  • Must have good interpersonal, written communication, and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers and co-workers, sustain participant and interdepartmental confidentiality.

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Demonstrative excellent record keeping and organizational skills with a minimum of six months experience with administrative duties.

  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office products and web-based applications.

  • Valid Oregon driver’s license with record that is acceptable under ACCESS’ insurance policies.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
