Job summary

Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists, Inc. (VRSI) in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a Case Manager/Employment Specialist for the Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP).

You will guide veterans from intake through eligibility, training, placement and follow-up, coordinating with partners to secure livable-wage employment. The role emphasizes personalized employment plans, job readiness training, resume support, employer engagement, and rigorous case documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in social work, human services, counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in workforce development, employment services, or a related field.
• Reliable transportation and use of a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursed.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Meet with veterans to assess skills, work history, interests, and barriers to employment.
• Develop personal employment plans with goals, steps and timelines.
• Provide resume writing, job search strategies, interview prep, and professional conduct training.
• Assist veterans with job applications, interviews, and negotiating terms.
• Build relationships with local employers to create opportunities for placement.
• Maintain accurate client records and submit regular program reports.
• Travel to outreach sites and coordinate with community partners.
