Job summary

Family Promise of the Big Bend seeks a Veteran Outreach & Care Coordinator to act as the first contact for veterans seeking services. The role conducts outreach in assigned counties, partners with agencies and community groups, and manages client intake through stabilization, including eligibility screening and housing/employment referrals.

The position includes crisis de-escalation, collaboration with VA and CoC partners, and development of Housing Stability Plans, with travel across rural

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience with veteran populations, homelessness services, or related human services.
• Experience can substitute education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to identify veterans in need and build partnerships with community organizations.
• Manage client engagement from intake through stabilization, including eligibility screening and referrals.
• Provide crisis intervention and housing stability support.
• Maintain accurate client records and generate program reports for supervisors.
