Job summary

ACCESS seeks a Peer Support – SSVF Shallow Subsidy specialist to assist Veterans and their families in accessing housing services and long-term housing stability. The role requires frequent travel between the office, participant homes, and outreach activities, working with a multi-disciplinary team to support participants.

You will engage participants, conduct mentoring, and help navigate community resources, aiming to prevent homelessness while maintaining confidential, accurate records.

Qualifications

• Must be certified in Peer Support and complete crisis intervention training within one year of employment.
• Minimum of 1-year direct client contact and/or customer service experience.
• Proficient with computers and basic programs (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Engage Veterans and families to navigate housing resources and sustain housing stability.
• Maintain caseload through outreach, home visits, and community events.
• Provide advocacy and support to help participants achieve housing goals.
• Document progress, maintain participant records, and ensure confidentiality.
