Job summary

The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division is seeking a People Manager for the NCI SSVF program to deliver intensive case management to Veterans and their families. The role involves coordinating housing stability services, intake, and ongoing engagement in a dynamic service environment.

You will apply strengths-based approaches, collaborate with community partners, and ensure compliance with CARF and program policies while supporting residents toward permanent housing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or a closely related field.
• One year of direct, full-time case management experience with homeless or Veteran populations.
• Valid Driver’s license/MVR clearance.

Responsibilities

• Case management (70%) including CTI, Housing First, and trauma-informed care.
• Maintain electronic client records and HMIS data entry (SIMS).
• Provide intake, enrollment, and ongoing participation support for Veterans and households.
