The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division is seeking a People Manager / Case Manager to support the SSVF program for Veterans and their families. This role focuses on intensive case management, housing stability planning, and navigating benefits to promote permanent housing solutions.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, coordinating services, and collaborating with VA HUD-VASH and partner agencies. Strong communication, organization, and field presence are essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or closely related field.
• One year of direct, full-time case management experience with homeless populations and/or Veterans.
• Valid Driver’s license/MVR clearance.

Mansioni

• Case management (70%): develop service plans with participants within one week of enrollment.
• Maintain contact via home visits, office visits, calls, and virtual meetings.
• Assess barriers to housing stability and income, including health, legal, and benefits needs.
• Provide housing stabilization support, landlord mediation, and tenancy coaching.
• Conduct intake and enrollment activities for eligible Veterans and households.
• Advocate with landlords, employers, and community agencies to support housing stability.
