A local automotive dealership is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience to join their Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship program. The Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) offers a structured path to transition into the automotive industry, providing hands-on training and the opportunity to gain certification. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing vehicles, conducting inspections, and maintaining service records. Eligible Veterans may also receive a Monthly Housing Allowance during their apprenticeship.
Qualifications
Honorable discharge from U.S. Military Service.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment.
Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
Perform vehicle inspections using Kia diagnostic procedures.
Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.
Test drive vehicles to verify repair quality.
Communicate effectively with service advisors.
Maintain a safe, organized work environment.
