Job summary

Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) is seeking Automotive Technician Apprentices. This role allows Military Veterans to gain hands-on experience at a Kia dealership while completing a GI Bill-approved one-year apprenticeship, leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing Kia vehicles, while gaining expertise in automotive technology. The program includes a Monthly Housing Allowance, supporting Veterans in their transition to full-time careers within the automotive industry.

Qualifications

• Must be a Military Veteran with honorary discharge.
• Experience in a mechanical or technical field is preferred.
• Willingness to complete background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs.
• Complete repair orders and warranty documentation.

Skills

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment

Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field

Education

Honorable Discharge from U.S. Military Service

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
