Job summary

A local automotive dealer is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience for an Automotive Service Technician role. This position is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), providing hands-on dealership experience and leading to Kia Service Technician certification. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing vehicles, performing inspections, and maintaining a safe work environment. The program is GI Bill® approved, offering eligible Veterans a Monthly Housing Allowance during the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a mechanical or technical field.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to complete background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and mechanical repairs.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and shop foremen.
